The Airline Portal is Aviaso's first product and was developed in 2003. Since then, the product-portfolio has been continuously extended into various areas of the aviation industry. |

The company has been founded by Nicola Fantini,
Rudolf Christen, Georgi Mitov, and
Ivan Markov and has a total staff of 20

Nicola Fantini, Chairman of the board

Nicola Fantini is the chairman of Aviaso and has more than 20 years of experience in software development, business consulting and building technology companies. Besides his function as the Aviaso chairman, Nicola is the chairman or member of the board in several further IT, consulting, and high-tech companies. With his various companies, he designed and managed the development of solutions in the transport- and logistics-industry, internet payment solutions, profitability & pricing solutions, mobile solutions, and large scale IT infrastructure solutions just to name a few. Nicola was the founder and chairman of Sciant. Sciant employed more than 200 software engineers and has been sold to VMware/ EMC (NYSE: VMW/ EMC) in October 2007. Nicola Fantini graduated from the University of Zurich with a Masters Degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. |

Rudolf Christen, CEO

Rudolf Christen is the CEO of Aviaso and has more than 20 years experience in software development, business consulting, and aviation. Most recently he was the CIO of Belair Airlines - a charter airline in Switzerland. He knows the aviation-industry also from the operational- and cockpit-side as he holds an ATPL and flew the Boeing 757 aircraft for several years. Previously, Rudolf has worked four years for McKinsey & Company as a consultant and project manager, and was leading several IT- and general business projects in industries like transportation, consumer goods, banking, and telecommunication. Prior to McKinsey, Rudolf was the CEO of the software startup company TakeFive in Switzerland. TakeFive developed tools for object-oriented software development and is now part of Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC). Rudolf Christen graduated from the University of Zurich with a Masters Degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. |

Georgi
Mitov
is
the
COO
of

and
has
more
than
15
years
of
experience
in
software
development
and
company
management.
Most
recently
Georgi
was
Senior
Manager
Research
&
Development
at
VMware/
EMC
(NYSE:
VMW/
EMC),
and
was
part
of
the
executive
management
team
of
VMware
Bulgaria.
Before
that
he
has
worked
eight
years
for
Sciant,
first
as a
software
developer
and
project
manager
and
then
as
technical
director
and
partner
of Sciant.
He
was
leading
the
biggest
division
of
Sciant
and
was
responsible
for
all
projects
in
the
logistics-,
and
aviation-industry.
Prior
to
Sciant,
Georgi
was
software
developer
and
project
manager
at WizCom
Ltd,
Intertime
PLC,
and
Triada
Ltd.
Georgi
Mitov
graduated
from
the
Medical
University
of
Sofia
with
Masters
Degree
in
Stomatology. |

Ivan Markov, CTO
|
| |
Ivan Markov is the CTO of Aviaso and has more than 10 years of experience in software development. During the last six years, Ivan was leading the airline Portal project, and other software projects for the aviation-industry first at Sciant and now at Aviaso. Prior to Aviaso, Ivan has worked eight years for Sciant as project manager and senior software developer. He was developing applications for various customers in the transportation-, communication-, and automotive-industry. During his projects, Ivan was working with object-oriented languages and frameworks like Java, Eclipse, and C++ as well as with database systems like Oracle and PostgreSQL. He has led a broad variety of projects ranging from very technical projects like embedded-, or secure messaging systems to business projects like accounting- and inventory-systems. Ivan Markov graduated from the Sofia University “St. Clement of Ohrid” with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. |
